Adaptive Ride Control Bypass - Gas 1500 Trucks

The OBD/SS ARC is a purpose-built Adaptive Ride Control bypass module for 2019 to 2025 GM 1500 trucks equipped with the Z45 ARC suspension on gas-powered platforms. It allows the factory ARC shocks and struts to be removed without triggering “Service Suspension System” warnings or suspension-related fault codes.

The module interfaces directly with the vehicle network to fully simulate a normally operating suspension control module (SCM). Depending on the model year, it installs either behind the OBD-II port or inline under the passenger seat. No resistors, no shock-mounted hardware, and no calibration procedures are required, and ride height sensors can be completely removed.

For GM’s 2022 mid-year revised body, we ask for the VIN to ensure you receive the correct product. The OBD/SS ARC is designed exclusively for gas-engine 1500 trucks. Duramax platforms require our ARC-MAX.

Lifetime Warranty

No Calibration Required

No scan tools or post-install procedures are needed.

ARC Shock Signal Replacement

The ARC module replaces Adaptive Ride Control shock feedback at the network level.

VIN-Verified Compatibility

In 2022, GM had a mid-year body revision, so we ask for the VIN to ensure you receive the correct product.

Designed for GM Z45 Systems

Engineered specifically for gas-powered GM 1500 trucks equipped with ARC.

No Shock-Mounted Hardware

All logic is handled electronically without resistors or corner modules.

Why Bypass Z45 Adaptive Ride?

If you're upgrading or removing factory ARC suspension, this module lets you do it right, no warning lights or limp modes.

Quick Start Guides

The 2022 Model year is a half year. Based on the 5th character of your VIN we can determine if the ARC or ARC-R variant is required.

Example: 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali

3GTU9FEL6NG181556

In this example the 9 in the 5th position would mean the ARC is required. The ARC-R would not work.

ARC

Silverado High Country VIN[5] = 'W' or 'Y'
Sierra Denali VIN[5] = '8' or '9'

ARC-R

Silverado High Country VIN[5] = 'A' or 'D'
Sierra Denali VIN[5] = 'H' or 'U'

ARC | 2019-2022

  • Step 1:
Turn vehicle OFF and Disconnect the battery negative cable.

  • Step 2:
Permanently remove Fuse F56 (SADS 15A) from the fuse box located on the passenger side of the engine in front of the battery. The OEM suspension module will remain unpowered.

  • Step 3:
    BCM X6 CANbus Connection
    a) The BCM is located to the upper left of the brake pedal.
    b) Unplug X6 the PINK connector.
    c) Attached the supplied Posi-Taps to the Blue (Pin 24) and White (Pin 25) wires in the PINK connector. Then attach the Blue/White twisted pair of wires.
    d) Plug the PINK connector back into the BCM. Then plug the OBD/SS ARC 2 pin male connector into the female 2 pin twisted pair connector.

  • Step 4:
    +12V Power
    a) Pull the driver side fuse panel cover off.
    b) Push the OBD/SS ARC RED wire with spade connector onto one of the +12V pins.

  • Step 5:
    Ground
    a) Loosen the left 7mm bolt on the OBD Connector.
    b) Slide the Fork terminal from the Black wire UNDER the OBD Port plastic flange so the fork is touching the METAL bracket.
    c) Tighten the bolt.

  • Step 6:
    Reconnect the battery negative cable.

ARC-R | 2022-2025

  • Step 1:
Turn vehicle OFF and Disconnect the battery negative cable.

  • Step 2:
Permanently remove Fuse F56 (SADS 15A) from the fuse box located on the passenger side of the engine in front of the battery. The OEM suspension module will remain unpowered.

  • Step 3:
Plug the OBD/SS ARC-R into the 8 Pin module located under the front passenger side seat in plain view.

  • Step 4:
    Reconnect the battery negative cable.
