Adaptive Ride Control Shock Simulators - Duramax 1500

The ARC-MAX is a hardware-based Adaptive Ride Control shock simulator kit engineered specifically for Duramax 1500 trucks, where OBD-based ARC bypass modules are not supported. It allows removal of the factory ARC shocks while preventing suspension warnings and fault codes.

Instead of communicating on the CAN network, ARC-MAX electrically simulates each factory shock at the suspension control module. Each simulator mimics the resistance and load values expected by the system, allowing the module to pass its self-checks and remain satisfied.

ARC-MAX installs directly at each shock connector using OEM-style plugs. No programming is required. The 3 factory ride height sensors need to remain connected or secured mid-travel to maintain valid sensor signals.

Gas-powered 1500 platforms require our OBD/SS ARC.

1 Year Warranty

OEM-Style Shock Connectors

Plugs directly into factory harnesses at each corner.

Designed for Duramax ARC Platforms

ARC-MAX supports diesel 1500 trucks.

Hardware-Based Shock Simulation

Each module electrically simulates a factory ARC shock.

No Programming Required

Pure hardware-based solution with no software interaction.

Seamless Plug-and-Play

The ShockSims ARC-MAX Shock Simulators allow you to replace the factory Adaptive Ride Control suspension system by providing stable resistance values expected by the suspension control module.

Permanently silence your suspension fault codes

Simply plug in the four piece ARC-MAX to remove suspension related dash warnings.

Install Guides

Quick Start Guide

  • Step 1:
Disconnect the stock shocks from the vehicle harness and plug the ARC-MAX shock simulators into the shock connectors on the vehicle harness.

Only Complete STEP 2 If:

The trucks (new) ride height is too high or low to allow the OEM ride height sensor links to be connected to the trucks suspension.
OR
The SCM needs to see valid signals from the 3 ride height sensors.

  • Step 2:
Locate the 3 OEM Ride Height Sensors and zip tie them Mid-Travel.
